Doncaster Deaf Trust is a specialist deaf and hearing impairment trust in Doncaster with a nursery, residential offer, school for the deaf, and specialist college. Following our completion of an external review of governance, DDT contracted GLK to provide clerking support services over four academic years.
GLK provided a full clerking service to their Trust Board and local boards. We supported the Trust Board and its local boards providing a complete clerking offer including advice and guidance, implementation of effective governance practices, Trustee recruitment, creating training and induction materials, and developing systems. In addition we have provided:
- Support around compliance and effective governance practices
- Relevant and up to date advice and guidance for Trustees (new and existing) to support their role
- Work within the context and understanding of the Trust Articles to ensure all boards remain compliant
- Delivery of the governance review action plan
