GLK Solutions commenced supporting Forest Bridge School with their clerking and governance in September 2021. Forest Bridge School is a Special Free School for children and young people with a primary diagnosis of autism. The School is a single academy trust and therefore the focus was to ensure complete compliance and effective governance within the wider clerking service.
GLK provide a full clerking service to the Trust Board and committees. We have supported in ensuring their annual schedules are effective and provided guidance on changes to committees to ensure they are fit for purpose and working for the Trust. In addition we have provided:
- Support around compliance trackers for the Academies Financial Handbook
- Relevant and up to date advice and guidance for Trustees (new and existing) to support their role
- Introduced standard annual forms to complete statutory information and gather skills information
- Provide advice and guidance on various governance and compliance matters from Members, through the Trust Board, and into Committees
Lesley Millard and GLK Solutions have be working with our Board of Trustees for over a year now. Lesley is extremely knowledgeable and also has a network of experts she can put us in contact with. She is always professional, and minutes are extremely accurate on the first draft.
