Working with our client including business partners, the Local Authority, and university to develop a UTC application. Following the successful outcome of the application, we subsequently worked with our client to management the pre-opening stages of the UTC.
We have worked with Scarborough UTC to develop a successful application to open a UTC in September 2016. Subsequently we were appointed to project manage all pre-opening activities which resulted in the UTC successfully opening on time. Our work included managing all workstreams including finance, marketing and student recruitment, buildings development, legal, and education and curriculum. We supported the recruitment process for the UTC's Principal and were instrumental in supporting a handover as they commenced their appointment.
We have been working with Gemma and GLK Solutions since the application stage of our UTC proposal and were successful in playing a key role as part of very successful team. GLK Solutions provide wrap around support to the project and always go the extra mile to deliver. They have afforded guidance through every part of the journey so far and have picked up and delivered a number of key outcomes on behalf of the project.
The GLK team are flexible in their approach and have tailored their delivery to meet our needs. As part of this their input around our capital project has been invaluable. Working with GLK Solutions has meant that we have greater flexibility in terms of resourcing and value for money. GLK Solutions are expert in both UTC and wider education delivery as well as in the delivery of capital projects in education and this has had a significant positive impact for our project. Gemma has provided real momentum and project direction and GLK have become a part of our UTC team.
