Gemma is a highly experienced Programme Director with over 15 years’ experience of delivering capital programmes and funding bids across both central and local government. Gemma has a particular specialism in education, having led a range of programmes delivering new schools and capital development strategies.
Gemma has worked with a range of clients including central government, local government, Universities, and the education sector, regularly operating as part of client teams at Executive and Board level.
Gemma also has an excellent track record in leading successful capital and other funding bids, including securing places on multi-million-pound frameworks on behalf of construction contractors.
Gemma is currently working as Regeneration Programme Director on behalf of a local authority, coordinating client-side delivery of a £200m borough-wide regeneration programme. Prior to this, Gemma worked with the Department for Education to coordinate delivery of a portfolio of capital projects worth over £250m, securing funding for these schemes (2017 - 2020). This portfolio included refurbishment of Grade 2* listed buildings and delivery of large new build secondary schools, solving complex procurement and delivery challenges across multi-agency environments.
Gemma has a proven track record in complex stakeholder management, building strong and effective relationships with client teams to deliver on time and budget. Gemma is flexible, supportive and committed to ensuring clients receive the best possible return on investment. She has excellent commercial insight and is highly skilled in understanding client requirements, developing strategies to achieve these and ensuring outcomes are delivered.
